AKAROA BUTTER FACTORY.
0 A meeting of the directors of the Akaroa Butter Factory was Held on Tuzsclay : Present —Messrs P. Cunning ham (chairman), W. W._ Williams, M. A. Johnson, A. Hewitt, G. Hammond. Jos. Gurney and ■ F. G. Armstrong. Mr W. H. Went, manager of the Akaroa Express Co., waited on t.hs meeting and complained re quantity of cream coming out of Le Bon's Bay. After a lengthy discussion the matter was left in the hands of the , manager to arrange with Mr Went. A number of communications re goods for the factory were received. Messrs J. B. McEwan and Co. wrote re thickness of timber in butter boxes. A circular was received from the South Island Dairy Association re Dairy Control Bill. Trade circulars were received from various firms. It was decided to pay out Is 4cl ; per lb. butter-fat for all cream sup- . plied in January. ; The chairman was deputed to . meet Mr Dobson and discuss water ■ supply for the company. , It was decided to continue" con- . ;tinue consigning butter to London. ; . Accounts amounting to f £283 ~ were passed for payment.
