BLUE STAR LINER ASHORE.
I London. January 22. The Bluo Star liner Broad'larid is ashore at Port Taibot. Forty four of the crow were saved. Tho vessel is insured for £35,000.
THE VERONESE WREHK.
London, January 22. The " Daily Mail's," Oporto correspondent status that during the rescues from the Veronese a baby only a month old wrapped in blankets was washed ashore alive and well. It is estimated that forty four people were drowned.
RUSSIAN STEAMER BURNT.
Poet Said, January 22. A steamer picked up five of the Estonia's missing crew. [The Estonia, a Russian vessel, took fire at sea and was abandoned. The fire was so rapid that .the officers were unable to return to the bridge and order the engineers to stop the vessel. The third engineer was incinerated at his post, and the captain and ten of the crew wero burned or driven overboard. it was impossible to launch the boats owing .to the speed of the vessel.]
LINER AGROUND. I
London, January 23. The liner Westormore went aground near Liverpool in a fulling tide, which caused her to break in halves. A lifeboat, amid excitement, rescued the crtw and assent era.
