There wae a loir entry of store cattle, lines of fifteen to eig iteen month sorts predoini' Dating- The niHJoiity were in fair oudtion, giving evidence ul having been well winicrod, elthough a few were in indifferent condition. The demand for alt descriptions was brltk, competition being keen. Yearlings made 27s 6d, fifteen to eighteen month sotts £2 6i to £3 Us Od. two year steers £5 Hβ (o £5 12s 6J, two jear heifers £1 loe, two and ft half year Bteers £5 17s 6d, three yeßr heifers £5 lOi to £5 12j Gd, and dry cows 30b tn £6 53.

A fair number of dairy cows wire iff rod, bat a considerable p/oportion were of an indifferent class, being apparently the cullings of the herds. The demand, however, was good, all dißcriptions Felling freely at prices ranging frem £4 to £10 17=) 6d. In tbe let pig section there was a fairly. large entry, and the class was uniformly good. The demand for baconers wne earier, but the prices for porkers were somewhat better than at rteent pales. Choppers realised £3 10s to £5 175 Cd, large baconere £3 12i to £4, and .'smaller lotH 58s lo 67s 6d, these price? being rqualto 4Jtl to 5Jd per lb. Large porkeis made 47s (id to 52--, and lighter sorts 383 to 455, equivalent to 5Jd to 6d per lb. The tupply of stores was insufficient for the demand, and several 1 would be buyers were unablo to secure sup , plies. Only a couple of pens of large stores were offerfd, and these realissd 42s to 48s, whilst medium ecrts made 32s to 40e, small pigs 18] to 30s, and weaners 123 to 21s.
