BATHING AT LITTLE AKALOA.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir—l wish to call, throuzh your valuable paper, the attention of tho authorities to a disgusting incident which occurred on Sua" day last, January 10th, in Little Akaloa. When the congregition came out of church, within afo.v yards of the gate, four children —not very small at that—atark naked, were running about the sacd, occasionally dipping themselves in the sea. A man and woman, presumably their parents, were quiatly looking on and seemingly enjoying them" sebes as much as tha children. We, as residents, have no obje.tion to mothers giviug their dear ones a wash once a year, for I think they need it, but at the same time, when they honour us with a visit they must leave such disgusting behaviour behind or they will bs asked for an explanation.— Yours, etc,, A RESIDENT. Little Akaloa, 10th January. 1904.
