DUNEDI PRODUCE MARKET. Messrs A. Moritzson and Co., Dunedin report : — Cocksfoot—The market is dull, and there is very little doing. Quotations are nominal and range from 2|d to 3£d per lb. Sheepskins—Bulk of offerings are lamb khiß and pelts, whioh sell from Is to 2a 10d ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKETS Wednesday Messrs Matson and Co report :— There was a fairly large yarding of stook. and n good attendance. Fat cattle sold at ra'hT firmer rates, and tbere was a further nt- co in fat lambs. Pigs also s~ld better than of late, and there was a ri _ in fat, eberp, po that all round the market showed ah improvement in values. The number of fat lambs penned was 1900. and tbey were moßtly of prime freezing quality. There was a good demand for the better cortß and prices were fiamor by 6d to Is per bead. The yarding of fat sheep was a fairly la* pc one, there was better proportion of wetheri than of late, and there wera a few !o*s of m .mo wetherß and ewes. There wbr improved competition for all classes, nnd a gensrol advance in prices. The exporters operated more freely in wethers, but there was little or no business done in ewes for frefzing. Though the mutton market at Heme hss lately been reported as declining, the exporters evidently have cor>fir_eEce in the future, ond bought up a number of prime linen of wethers nt higher rateß than weie ruling last week. Beßt frerz : ng wetherß made 17s 6d to 20*** Id, light and ur finished 14s 7d to 17a, wethers and maiden ewes 15s 10d to 18s 6d, best butchers' ewes 15s to 18s lid. others lis 9d to 14s 6d, merino wethers 10s Id to 16s, and merir.o ewes 9a 6d to 11b Id. In the fat cattle pers there was an entry of 165. principally heifers and cows, many of tbe former being of prime quality. There was good competition, and prices firmed to the extent of In per 1001b. Fteers made £7 to £9 17s 6d. and extra to £10 10s 6d, cows £5 15s to £8 ss, and extra to £9 6s, equal to 26=1 to 30? per 1001b An average entry of veal calves sold at 7s 6d to £3, according to size and quality. A small entry of ptore cattle met with a fairly good sale at tbe following ratas:-— Well grown yearlings £2 2s 6d, eighteen month*. £3 2? 6d to £4 Is, two vpar steers £4 15-* to £5 10s, dry cows £2 10a to £4 ss. There was a small yarding of dairy oows, and there was a good demand shown, best sorts making £7 to £10. extra to £11 53, and others £4 10s to £6 10s.
