There was a fairly large entry of sfcrck, especially of store sheep, and a good attendance.
Another heavr yarding of store cheep. numbering 10 600. raefc with a pomewhet d'ageing sale. The bulk of the entry comprised wethers and ewei, the wether* beine mostly eoaree woolled «ort§ from thp North Island, there b'ing only a few Hnea OF lambs sent forward, and these Bold better than laab week. A medium yarding of fat sheep was comtio'e 1 Tirincipally of ewes. The few wet , hprfl offered were necrlected by the exportern, and were bought by bntchere 'at shout, late r*i'es. There was, however, a renewpd dpmand for young ewes for freezing, but at limU« b»low those recently ruling. Butchers' ewes showed a s i'l further dpcline in valupp. Wethers made 15« 6d to 17e Bd. freezing ewee 13s 6d to 16e 10d. besti butchers' ewee 12n to 15s 6d, others 8s to Hi 6d. merino wethers 13» 3d.
Tn the fat cattle p°ns there wer" 159 head offered, the quality being very good, especially heifer* and cowp. Prices for prime beef sh owed a slight reduction on last week's rates Five otepre from the Chatham Island" rmde £8 2e 6d to £9 10s, other ntpere £6 15s to £11, and on* extra £13, helfere £6 to £10. and cows £5 5i to £R se, and one pxtra £9 4s, pqual to 26e to 28s, and up to 30a pc lOOlb for a few extra prime.

There was a medium entry cf pigs, includ ing some very prime haconere. Storpß were m short supply, and brought advanced rates Beconers made 45e to 65e, and one extra 69s equal to 5d per lb : porkers 32« to 42s equal to to 6d per lb ; etores 22s 6d to 30s, end BT7cker« and weanere 13» 6d to 21?. The Mount. Hutfc baconers made 56" tin 65».
