NOTICE IS BEREBY GIVEN ih%t at a Special Meeting of the above Coun oil hell at the Council Chambers, Akaroa, on the 25th day of February, 1903, the following resolution was passed : — 3)HAT for the purpose of providing the interest at three and a half per tenlum per annum and other charges on a Loan of £3,800 authorised to be raised by the Akaroa Borough Council, under the proviaiona of "The Loj*l Bodies Loans Act, 1901," for the drainage of the Borough of *" Akaroa, by the Beptic Tank eystem of sewage treatment, the said Akaroa Borough Council hereby makes and lev'us a Bpeoial Rite of TdREE FARTHINGS in the £ upon the ra'eib'.e valuation of nil <"• the rateable propertj of the end Borough of Akaroa, comprising all that district or blook of l»nd situated and bounded aa follows, that is to say : Situated ou the east side of the harbour of Akaroa, bounded by a line commencing at a p iut where the northern branch of the mill stream falls into the Hβ*, continued easterly along; the no.-them branch of the "* »id stream to the fir at fork, thence in a straight line southerly to the trigoaometri c*l pole marked " A " ou the hill, theuce in the sime direotion to the point where the Bilgueri road meets the eastern boundary ** of Watson street, thence along the eastern side of the said street to where it crosses the eastern boundary of Lehevre'a land, thence iontherly aLug the said eastern boundary aud aling the bound try of Maimanohe'e land to the Rue Dharbonnier, thence across the Rue Charbonnler, and onwards southerly in the same direct line so Ihe eastern boundary of Malmanche's l»od to Ay'mer slieet, thence westerly along thesouthf-m side of that street to Uβ junction with South street, thence m alpng the eaetern side of the last named street till it meets a line in continuation of the north side of the Abattoir Re serve, thenoa north westerly along the said line and the north eastern boundary mi of the Abattoir Reserve to low water markf ther cc along low watermark to the CJmmecoiog point ; and that such special rare shall be an annual recurring rate doting the currenoy of such loan, and be M p»yabl6 at the Borough Council Offise, * Aaroa, half-yearly on the first day of July anl the first day of January in each an I every year during the currency of koch loan, being a period of forty one «t years or until the lo»n is fully paid off.
