AKAROA COUNTY RACING CLUB.
A meeting of the Stewards -was held on Saturday night Present —Measrs. Buchanan (chairman), Parkinson (2), Wachsmann. E. E. Lelievre, Jacolson. Bradley, J. Montgomery, R. Latter, R. Paton, and T. Quealy, hon. sec MINDTKS. The minutes of prior meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE. Letters were read—From Messrs Hobbs and Goodwin stating they proposed bringing two totalisators for the race meeting. It was resolved that one of the totalisators should issue £1 and the other 10s. tickets. From Mr. Burrows asking to be employed as detective on the course. Resolved that Mr Rattray be asked to employ a detective. From Mr Henrys re penalty rule. The action of the Ciiairman and Messrs Lelievre and Jacobson in inserting penalty clause in rules was sanctioned. From the Chris l church Professional Band offering servicetjof 7 performers for 5 guineas Offer accepted. From Mr Hoddinott offering £5 for right of suppiying lunch Offer accepted on condition of tenderer supplying tent for ladies, he to have right to let rights for fish luncheon. Fiom Mr Columbus applying for right to supply frait, fi.h, aud oysters, aud offering £2 2s for same.
