The third reading ol the Immigration Restriction Bill was agreed to wi hout debate, and the measure passed. The .Napier Harbour Board Amendment Bill passed through Committee. A debate on the Wages Protection Bill was adjourne 1. July 28. The Hon. J. Macgregor brought forward a motion that the Council should be made elective, a proposal to that effect to be submitted to a referendum. The debate on the subject was adjourned. Ine Napier Harbour Board Act Amendment Empowering Bill passed i's final stages The Law Amendment Bill passed through committee with minor amendments, progress being reported at Clause 12.
