The balance-sheet na certified waa read, showing receipts from all aourceß £1041 ls B<i and expenditure £838 3s 71, leaving a credit belance on 31st Vlardli :ofA&2u7 18s Id ; assets £541 5s s<hAand Liabilities £232 Mr Reynolds proposed That the hi lance-sheet as readbe adopted. Secomled by i4.t Uoop and carried unanimon«sly. Mi - C"o|.) proposed a hearty vote of thanks to the Chairman and members of the Board for tha very satisfactory manner in which they had discharged their duties during the term above referred to. . Seconded by Mr Reynolds and carried. Ordinary Mrrtino. The ordinary meeting was then held Present—The Chairman and all the members. Mr Woodiil, contractor for reforming Piraki Valley road, waited on the Board. The Cterk reported on the progress, made on this contract, and the Chairman and Mr Parkinson also stated they had seen tho work, and would stron_ly recrnioifivl that the contractor should be allowed for time spent in clearing slips, which were not included in the contracti Mr Gebbie proposed and Mr White seconded, That the snm of £20 be allowed for the work. (Carried)* The Clerk's report was read, and it was decided that the full amount of their contract price he paid to the several stone breakers along the Main road.
