TURKISH TROUBLES.
M. Cambon, the French Ambassador, in the name of Europe, has demanded that the reforms granted to six Vilayets (or governments) should be extended throughout the Empire. England and Italy are conferring respecting united action in the East. Kalian troops are ready to proceed to the Levant at a moment's notice ; 15,000 are now waiting to embark, if necessary, M. Cambon claimed the release of a thousand Armenians. The Sultan has consented to convoke the Armenian Assembly and to the expansion of reforms throughout :he Kmpire, The Russian Black Sea v Jeet has arrived at the mouth of tho Bosphorour- The Embassies, fearing that their 'beers' may be subject to espionage, are using pigeons to convey despatches. Lord' Rosebory, speaking at the unveiling of the Bums statute, said war would cause the extermination of the Armenians. They must rely on strenuous diplomatic action. It would be unwise for England to act alone, and tho better course would be to rousa other Christian countries. The ton •of several leading Russian papers is more amicable. The Sultan has exiled his second wife, being suspicions that she was conspiring with the heir apparent and the deposed vSultan Murad, who wo>- ■ Spseeching her to warn him of, the buicidal policy he was following. Tbe French Foreign Office asserts that the Czar stated, at Balmoral, that if England would by some act banish the'suspicion that she ia itiflaericed by ''ulterior motives, Russia would join in a stern movement to settle the Armenia- FiW large
