Akaroa t. Lβ Bon's.

The second cup match between these teams took place at Akaroa on Saturday," when the home team won by 12 points to niK Mr Pyke, of Chriatchurch,,was referee.

Akaroa won the toss and elected to defend the northern goal- Henierson kicked off for Le Bon's and a rush by Uhe Lβ Bon's forwards sent the hall over the line, and Akaroa were forced. After the kick out the ball remained for some time in about raid-Sold. The strong sun did a good deal to spoil the play, and what passing took place was generally very erratic. Riach, for Akuroa, made a fine drop-kick and P. . Glynari smartly following op took the ball from Barnett and scored behind the posts, Wight converting. For the remainder of the spell play was chiefly in the L& Bon's 25.

In tbe second spell Narbey kicked off for Akaroa, and after some give and take play the ball gradually found its way to the Le Bon's side of the centre flag. From a throw-dut Goodwin got the , ball and passed to Wight, who sent it to Tripe, the. last named paesing to Vangioni, who failed to take the pass ; but Tripe recovered tbe ball, and dodging over ilie line scored the second try. for /Akaroa-. Risch;took the kick but was unsuccessful. After the kick-out' the lie Bon's forwards Jook the ball into ;the Aftaroa 25. Smith .got away, bat was collared by Vangioni before he, became dangerous. '■' Soon afterwards Smith again made a good rnn, but was brought down by Tiipe when near the line. By the good, kicking of Helbert the play was soon taken to the other end of the field. Wight, marked a kick in the Lβ Bon's 25 and kicked a very neat son]. No farther score was made, and lime wss called with the ball in the visitor's territory.

The,play on both sides was very determined, and on one or two occasions rather rongh. For Le Bon's, Henderson, Mclntosh. Smith and P. Barnett played well; while for Akaroa Narbey,' Glynari, Goodwin, Tripe, Riach and Helbert stowed up well.

The result of the match Little Akaloa v. Wairewa, to have been played on Saturday has not jet come to hand, and the match Okain's v. Little Akaloa, which was postponed by the referee, is under the consideration of the Union. The Akaroa team play their last cup match at Okain's next: Saturday, when it has been arranged to bave a referee from Christchureh.
