Next Thursday the annual match ■between the Chriftohnrch and Akaroa Football Clubs will take place at Akaroa. These teams have met four times, and n«ch time the town men have been too good

for onr representatives. The Akaroa team on this occasion is, however, a very strong *»? one. and much interest is being taken in the match. In a mstah between German Bay Main and Akaroa Borough Schools on Saturday, German Bay proved victorious by 5 to 3. A. Malmsnche scored a try and kicked a. n<?ftt goal. A. Brookes soored for Akaroa,. but the kick failed. On Wednesday a return mitch was played, Akaroa winning by 3 to nil. From a eplendid dribble, Phillips sooied, but owing to the slippery nature of the ball, his kick at goal was a failure. For Akaroa, A. Narbey, Schubert (2), and Phillips played a fine game, 68 did A. Malmanohe, V. Lelievre and F. Pidgeon for German Bay. Mr Narbey gave every satiefaotion as Referee.
