NATIONAL DAIRY ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of representatives from tbe Barry's Bay £ Germaa Bay and Little Akalba fiiCtorieß'interFiewed Mr J. R. Secretary of the National Dairy Association, yesterday afternoon at Grange's Hotel. Mr F. Hart explained that the object was to obtain from Mr Scott full information as to the advantages to be obtained by joining the Association. Mr Scott went into the matter very fully, and made several very valuable suggestions for the successful carrying out of the working of the Association in the future,

After a long discussion, it was unanimously - "agreed- that two 'delegates from each of the factory Direc torates be appointed to- form a local Executive Committee, to work in conjunction with the National Dairy Association in the interests of the factories, r^. The German Bay and Wainui Factories were already members, and Little and Barry's Bay had joined nov. It was expected that when Lβ Bon's and Okain's were made aware of the advantages of thorough combination, as provided by the Association, they they would join also. It was intended to appoint i» ecrotary at Lyttelton to superintend shipments atid carry on the other work ot the Association, The Central end other factories were joining, and the addition of the Canterbury factories would greatly add to the power and usefulness of- the Association.;.. £ j

Mr F, J. Hart, Chairman of Direc» tors of German Bay Factory, was appointed Chairman of Executive Committee. V.

It was resolved that the first meeting be held in the Barry's Bay Factory on 31st August.

In the tneanwhile, the Secretary was instructed to interview the chairmen of dairy factories that had not already joined the Association, and ask them I-β co-operate with them.
