SATURDAY'S CHKISTCHUROH MARKETS
There was a moderate entry of horses., on Saturday, and sales were, effected as follows : — Medium draughts £14 to £18. goo.d..harness, hoises to £17 15s, and hacks up to £10. At the produce markets there was a medium •entry of pigs and prices had an upward tendency Small baconers brought ?5s to 30*, jimali pikers 14s to 19s 6d, stores 9s to 12s, -weanets 4s 3d to Bs, and sows 30s to 31s Gd. Poultry were entered in large numbers, and ■owine to the short supplies of.late there was :an active demand, and gnod pHces were obtained for all desciiptions. Hens sold at 2s to 3s, roosters 2< 6d to 4s, ducks 4s to 5' 3d, eeese 4s 64 to 5s 3d, and 6s to. 7s Gd for large -b : rds, turkey hens 3d to Bs. ditto cocks 11s tid to 14s, and 17s to lgs for extra good birds ' '• ■■■•■.'■
