SATURDAY'S CHRISTCHURCH MARKETS.
There was a fair entry of horses in the yards on Satur.d,av, and a fair cbmand for useful sort's, .especially draughts, which? sold at cunent rates. Inthe produce yards there was a fair supply' of pig e , and tho market showed an upward tendency. Porkers made 14s 6d to 18 s Cd, store? Ss to 13s 6d, and weaners 2s to 4s 9d. There was a large entry of poultry and a pood demand, especially for ducks. Hens made Is Gd to 2s. pullets 2s to 2s 6d, roosters 2s 3d to 3s 63, ducks 2s 9d to 4s 3d, geese 4s to Gs 6d, turkey hens 7s to 10s «,nd turkey cocks 15s, all at per pair.
