OKAIN'S BAY ROAD BOARD.
To the Editor.
Siu,—l notice in yonr issue of the sth mat. a letter signed " Ratepayer." wherein he finds fault with the Okain's Bay Road Board for not accepting the lowest tender for fencing , , in Little Akaloai It ia a pity " Ratepayer " has not a better cause to rush into print over than a paltry sixteen-* pence on tho said contract in question. Aβ fur as I understand the matter, the fence had to be to the patiefaction of Mr A. H. Mclnrosb, and Messrs Mclntosh Bros', tender was accepted, so I presume tho Bourn , thought it would be better to accept their tender and the fence would be done to Mr A. 11. Mclntoflh's approval, and also to the satisfaction of the Board. Iα conclusion, if '' Ratepayer " would mind bis own bueinese and leave Road Board mutters alone, it would be better for him. #« —Youre, etc.,
