BAND MEETING.

A meeting of those interested in the reorganising of the Oddfellows' Brace Band was held in the back toom of the Oddfellows , Hall on Wednesday evening. All of the members of the band were present, and several others besides. Mr J. Staples, Chairman of Committee, was in the chair.

Seven new members were proposed and elected.

It was resolved the entranoe fee be reduced to a shilling, and the former rules with the exception of this were adopted. It was aUo resolved that the Chairman end Bandmaster interview Mr Gillies re instructing the band. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday evening, when the instruments will be allotted, and practising be gone in for At once without delay. The great necessity of a band in the districtwae pointed out by those present, end all seemed anxious to co operate and promote the welfare of the same.
