FRUIT REPORT

Messrs Townsend & Paul Ltd., Fruit and Produce Merchants, Wellington, report:— Since last reporting, very small supplies of stone fruit have been coming forward. Apricots now in smaller supply have been readily sought; what good quality Nectarines have been placed to advantage; there has also been a ready sale for quinces, whilst the demand for back currants continues. Peaches due to brown rot, have been sold by auction upon their merits. Quotations are: Apricots keen demand, 8/- to 24/- according to qualitv; Peaches 5/3 to 12/2; Quinces 11/- to 15/6 f-case; Nectarines 11/- to 2.2/-. Black currants wanted.
