Ice Carnival The ice carnival on the Idaburn Dam, Oturehua, is to be held on Saturday next. We are informed that the ice is in perfect order. Skating The ice on the Manorburn Dam is being enjoyed by a large number of skaters. .Rain and soft weather on Sunday and Monday was followed by a light frost and yesterday the dam carried a brand new surface of ice, which was greatly appreciated by a few enthusiasts. Yesterday the first basin was bored and the ice measured in four- places. The average thickness is 51 inches.
