Coal Creek met Millers Mat on ■ the Roxburgh ground, the latter winning by 17 points to 6. . - Hockey, Coal Creek was unable to raise a full team on Saturday and defaulted to Millers Flat. Roxburgh East met the 1 High School, winning by 1 goal to nil. Golf. ! ! The season was opened on Saturday . . afternoon in beautiful weather. It was , really too hot for golf but uotwith- . . standing this there was a large attend- . : anco of members who''thoroughly en- . joyod themselves. ' Municipal Band, A meeting of the committee set up , : some time ago to arrange for the rais.'. ,ing of funds to liquidate the liability : on the new uniforms was held on May | . S. The band has been able to pay £IOO on the uniforms and there remains a similar amount.
