Ob Easier Sunday afternoon a unique concert was given by a party of Maoris in the Alexandra Town HalL The hall was comfortably filled and an appreciative audience responded to the appeal of the Bev. A. J. Beamer (Supt. Methodist Maori Mission), the collection going to a fund for the education of promising and needy Maori children. The artists were drawn from as for afield as North Auckland, Waikato and the King Country and some tame from the Chatham Islands. The story of the Maori and the romance and tragedy of Maori Mission was told in speech and song in such a way that it greatly impressed those present. It is to he hoped that the party will return to Alexandra again next Easter season. !
