PERSONAL
Mr W. E. Lloyd Williams, local Orchard Instructor, left on Sunday for Dunedin where he joined the night express for Wellington. He will be absent for about ten days during which time he will attend the Dominion Conference of Fruitgrowers. Mx T. E. Sunderland motored through to Dunedin on Saturday and will arrive back in Alexandra to-day. We are pleased to learn that Maurice M'Ginnis, who recently met with- an accident at Earnscleugh and .who has been in the Cromwell Hospital for some weeks, is progressing very satisfactory and is expected to reach his home today. Mr A. Maepherson is at present in the Clyde Hospital and is progressing favourably. Mr and Mrs W. Blackler were in Alexandra on Tuesday. We regret to record the death of Mr W. Corrigall (formerly of Ophir), which took place at the Dunstan Hospital yesterday. Deceased, who was a returned soldier, was gassed during the war. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn their loss.
