The monthly meeting of the above eoniniittee'. was held on Saturday, June ' 1, when there were Messrs T. C. Hore (chair), F. Field, James Smith, W. Smith and Jas. M'MjJlan. ■ The chairman (Mr H. »W» sent an apology for "absence. • ? Letters were sent* to Nurses MacKinnon, ' luvercargill, and li. P. Brown, Dunedin, informing them of" the acceptance of their applications'for pesitions on the maternity nursing, jstaff. Also to the secretary of the Otago Hospital Board notifying admission of a;patient to the hospital who was a resident ef Dunedin. ..■ . -,- /., .'»,;_>• The Public Trustee iot warded lett'ers. and balance-sheet in the estate of the late Jacob i Whitehonse, of Hyde. The balance in. the estate after settling accouna was?|i'4 19s Id, whiek ' amount was remitted by post, the board being legatee. Three applications were received for the position of surgical staff nurse; Miss Margaret H.'Geeldes, Greenjlsland, iv:is appointed on tJie motion pf?Messr» Field" and W. Smith. The Hospital Board wrote informing the committee of its reappointment for a further term of twelve 'months.
