The Teviot Power Board's extension to Island Block has been held up for some time because the Loans Board was insisting upon the Power Board demanding a> guarantee revenue amounting to" 18 per cent, on the capital expenditure. The chairman, Mr Michelle, objected very strongly and brought the matter before the Member for the District. Mr W. A.' Bodkin took up the matter with the Loans Board and has now received advice that the board has agreed to Mr Michelle's proposal—viz., that the guaranteed revenue shall be reduced to 15 per eent.
