M'Kay, Ltd., Exchange Fruit Mart, Invercargill report as follows : —Tomatoes have been on the li«lit supply during the past week and some nice samples of Otago Central grown realised up to 4d per lb. Market was heavily glutted with plums for some time and sales were difficult to effect even at low prices. Freestone peaches have a better enquiry and late consignments are expected to sell well. Apples are Scorning forward in heavy supply, the principal demand being for matured Cox's Orange Pippin. A large proportion of the consignments are on the green side. Worcester Permains are in heavy supply and prices have eased. Pears are meeting with a, sound demand, also hothouse grapes, cucumbeis, vegetable marrows. Current prices are approximately" as follows :—Crate peaches 3d to 4d per lb, boxes 3s 3d to os. Plums, dessert to 4s 6d, small jam fruit to 2s 6d box. Pears 2jd per lb. Apples, Cox's Orange 9s to lis case, Worcester Permains 5s 6d to Bs«ase, cooking apples 5s to 7s case. Grapes Is 2d to Is 5d lb. Cucumbers 2s 6d to 6s dozen. Cabbages 2s doz. Cauliflowers 4s to 9s doz, accordingto size. Carxots 9s cwt. Parsnips 9s cwt.
