DUNSTAN RACING CLUB.
A meeting of the above club.took place in the Club Rooms on Friday evening and was well attended. The President, Mr R.Tohill, presided. Outward corre'spondence was read and confirmed. Inward correspondence was read and received. Decided that tenders be called for a licensed booth on the course and also for a refreshment booth. As the course is in urgentneed of repair a working bee was decided upon to operate at an early date. Mr Waters having obtained a Cup to be known as the '' Bell" Cup, the Club was faced with the problem of allocating it. Moved by Mr Spain and seconded by the President, that the Cup be won outright by the winner of the Trial Plate. Mr Carson moved an amendment, that the Cup go to the Consolation Trot at the coming meeting and to a gallop at each alternate meeting. Mr Anderson seconded the amendment, but it was lost on the vote, the motion beifig carried by a fair majority. The question of members tickets then came up. In this connection it is worthy of note .that 226 tickets were sold for .the last meeting. Judging by the number of volunteer canvassers this year's meeting should prove as great a success. Messrs J. Tohill, Murphy and Munro were appointed gatekeepers.
