PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
*jHARVEST THANKSGIVING AND EASTER SERVICES.
These have now been held in the various parts of the Presbyterian Church—Alexandra, Clyde, Eirnscleugh, and Galloway. Afc each place thefservice was well attended and hearty, j and considerable interest was taken in the practical result thereof. This was specially so at Gdloway and at Eirnscleugb, where the Hirves' decorations and offerings of fruit, vegetables, dairy produce, jams, honey, etc., -for the Uld People's Homes and the Orphanages were pleasingly conspicuous by tbejr quality and extant. Many willing friends in each p'ace have forwarded their gifts direct to Dunedin, and others have donated money gifts to the funds of the Presbyterian Social Service Association- The minister and officebearers are highly pleased with the liberality of the people, and express their cordial thanks on behalf of the institutions benefited. The services on Easter Sunday were well-attended, largely so at Earns- . cleugh in the afternoon .and at A\ex'nndnt in the evening. Visiting I friends were present in fair numbers. hymns were a feature in each place, and the organists—Miss Smart, Mr J. Wright, Miss Love, and Mrs Beilby did much to make the services enjoyable to all present.
