A MODERN EZEKIEL.
Declaring that 'this flippant, pie**; mo-loving, Mammon-worshipping,, Sab* bath-breaking, sinful city needs to be stirred to the etornal truths of God,' Dr Konch Straton, pastor of GalvaVy Baptist Church, New York City, took another tilt .'against tho follies and vices of modern society. A few m-onths ago Dr Straton acquired prominence by a scathing denunciation of New York women, of fashion and the American stage. After describing 'the real hell thatexists for sinners,' Dr Straton went through a. list of people whom he recommended to be careful. 'You blatant infidels, who laugh at Church and sneer at preachers and all righteojs things,' he cried: 'you profane men,, taking the name of God even unto your places of vice and shame; you. men and women slaves of Inst and appetite; you destroyers of imborn'infants; you vain, 'godless society women; you corrupt j>o)itieians; you false prophets who cry Peace., when thors is no peace.'
