PERSONAL NOTES.
In the list of results of the Teachers' Certificates examinations the following local names appear :—Misses Beaufort, Edith Mills, Majory SPGinnis, Victoria L. Weaver all of whom obtained pass or partial in three groups Class D. These girls were students of the Alexandra District High School and in their success bring credit to our school as well as to themselves. The name of Miss Muriel Robertson of Alexandra until lately pupil teacher in the local sehcol, appears in List 3 as having ob- * tained partial pass for Class D. Miss M'Lean sat for the examinations in Wellington and received pass Class D. Congratulations to one and a'l. Mr John M'Kinnon of Alexandra presently employed at Port Chalmers met with a mishap last week. While working on a vessel, he fell and sustained* slight injuries to his head and bruises on his back. He was taken to the hospital. Becent reports mentions that the wounds . are not serious, and . patient doing well.
