New Issue of Stamps.

A new issue of postage and tevenue stamps will be ready for sale on the afternoon preceding the King's Birth day. The iew range of value is from iiiC halfpenny to one shilling, and ex cepting the one penny stamp, each will ben the pen trait of the King. The recessity of the i ew issue is shown by tie substitution of " the Dominion of New Zealand " for New Zealaud. With the exception of the fourpenny stamp, which is now of an orange color, all the stamps within the values rained are of the old colors, so that the public may not be confused. The new portiait of the King is considered to be the finest that has yet been produced, and in the case of most of the stamps has been printed from steel engravings by the recess process of punting. The plates were manufactured in Loudon, and the whole of the printing was executed in the Government Printing Office. The workmanship generally is very fine, the gumming, peiforation, and general appearance being highly satisfactory. The twopence, halfpenny, ninepence, two shilling, and five shilling values 1 ennui as before in design.
