"Any woman that would stab a man with a hat pin would uss a more dangerous weapon if she had it in her possession. A woman might just as well use a dagger."' This was the opinion expressed by a magistrate at the Police Court in Sydney last week A young woman named Rosie Laird had stabbed Constable Walsh with a hat pin. She was sentenced to one mouth's hard labor, without the option of a fine. Mr R. W.
