Sunday School Concert.

Last evening there was a crowded hall to witness the kinderspiel, " The Midshipmite," which was given by the Presbyterian Sunday School children.' Taken on a whole, tbe entertainment waS- a brilliant success, and hearty appreciation of the children's efforts was shown by an interested audience. The* children went through their respective parts in commendable style, and great credit is due to them all for the manner in which they acquitted themselves before the public. The entertainment included solos and choiuses, marching, wand drill, club swinging, maypole dancing, and many ■other forms of contributing to the night's enjoyment. The children were gracefully attired, and in many cases the costumes worn were unique and somewhat amusing. Want of- space forbids a detailed account of the kinderspiel, suffice, to say that one and all carried out their parts in a manner that won convincing praise from the audience. The school teachers —chief among whom were Mrs Dewar, Miss Nieper, and Mr S. Churchill—who trained the children set themselves a weighty task, but their labors were amply rewarded by tbe successful efforts of the children.
