At the Land Board meeting last week the following business of local interest was transacted: — In the case of Mr John Wilson, "who had been called on to show cause why his small grazing run lease No 404 over section 2, Block VI Lauder District, should not be cancelled for his non-compliance with the residence condition exemption was granted, during the pleasure of the board. • ■ A letter from John Colling in regard to his application for an occupation lease over 100 acres on Run 226, Blackstone district, was received. 0 P Beck's application for a grazing license over about 100 acres situated at the foot of Long Gully, between Solomon's Cliff and the Manuherikia River, Leaning Rock district, was declined, Geo Hastings' application for an occupation lease, under " The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act'' over Ift acres, Moutere Run, between the Cliffs and Manuherikia River, was declined.
