A certain much-advertised hair wash b a wonderful thing. Witness this letter, published as a testimonial to its efficacy :—" My husband's head was as hare as the palm of his hand. After using —— it is quite covered with short hairs, for which we are thankful." "We" is delightful, even if this bo distinctly a case of gratitude for small mercies. What one would like to know is (1) how bare the palm of " my husband's " band is, and (2) how short the hairs are. On the whole the conclusion at which the writer arrives of "recommending it when possible" seems only reasonably cautious.
