Land Board.
The following business of local interest was transacted at last week's meeting of the Otago Waste Land's Board : The Board considered the case of James Healey, who had been called upon to show cause why his lease in perpetuity over sections 10 and 11, block I, Tiger Hill district, should not be declared forfeited for his noncompliance with residence and improvement conditions.—The lease was declared forfeited.
The application to transfer small grazing run No 225p Blackstone. from George Turnbull to George Hardie junr., was approved. Application to complete purchase of land held under deferred payment license. Deferred payment license 4073, section 16, block in, Poolburn district, John Sloan. —Approved. Application for occupation-with-right-of-purchase license : 4030, Patrick O'Dea, section 9, block I, Tiger Hill district.—Approved. The Vincent, Maniototo, and Waitaki County Councils forwarded statements of proposed expenditure of rt : thirds " and " fourths" for period 8/1/03 to 31/3/03.— Approved. The Receiver of Land Revenue reported that the following selectors, whose holdings had been declared forfeited, had not paid arrears: —Perpetual lease 49, Lucy Moran ; lease in perpetuity 964, Catherine Gallagher. —Forfeitures rescinded.
