July 1845 Go off, my writing, to the Governor. Grey, What you said to me about the cows is done. And there were 18 sheep [?], two goats, and two mills acquired, and [fourteen?] sheep remain. Don't think that I am concealing anything from you, but [know] that the [stock?] are with Ngati Hau[?], as some of their chiefs know [?]. So my job is finished. McLean has come to make payment for Wanganui. It has been well settled, however, if you agree with my letter, if you arrange it for me, then you decide if I should go there, and also to see my son. I wrote this, your good friend, Iharaira Putikiwharanui ToPort Nicholson, Auckland [Note following] 'July 1845. Iharaira respecting mills and sheep.'
