From Te Waipukurau 1 August 1853 To McLean Sir, Greetings to you and your friend the Governor. This is what we have to say to you, that is, it is a question to you about my and my son's plan to steal the payments for the land of Te Wiremu Potangaroa, if you believe this talk of theft by my son and me.
