Dalmuir Hill Saty morg. [August 1851] My dearest daughter With much pleasure your Papa and myself received your letters and we were rejoiced to learn you had arrived in safety and that tho slightly indisposed you are again better. I do not feel any worse, indeed much the same but I hope soon to be well again. Miss Kelly leaves us this afternoon but has promised to return on Monday to spend the fornoon. Amongst other things which you left behind I see you left your purse which is onsent. I send also the pills. Be careful of your health and be a comfort to your husband for like your Papa he will not like to hear you always grumbling. I am sure he will be kind to you. I send the morning dress in case you should require it. Fanny writes you all particulars, and with my love to McLean I ever am My dearest daughter Yours affectionately Susan Strang
