Its is wvtih regret that we have to recordr the death of Mr Alfred Henry Pui'nell, which occurred, at hils late residence pa June 19th, after a> long and painful iilnesi, at the age of 59. T£j,e deceased was 'born in London, ■February, 1849. He tame to the colonies in the year 1856, landing in New Pflyinaoutlhi vrliM his parents. There ti*e wlitineesed the stirring incidents that oociura-ed in connection with the Taranaki War, but took no active part in the same.
