MARYBOROUGH D-RAFT FARE,- j WELLED

.A draft of ten meil for the Twentyninth Reinforcements paraded in Market Place yesterday afternoon, i and was farewelled in tho presence or < a large gathering. Blue Mountain, Ward; George Billingsby, Flat Greek; Robert -Taylor Masefield, Manaroa; j John William Brunning, Hayolock; j Jack Stanley Hill, Ngakuta; Thomas Robinson,* Nydia Bay; Bercival James Tierney, Havelock: Rev.. G. F. Nelligan, Wunganui; John Mackle, Kaikoura; Charles James Coloman, Blenheim. . The speakers were the Mayor (Mr J^ J. Corry), the Rkkv. Knowles Smith (of the Methodist C^J, Alission at Wellington), and .Mr R/. McGallnm, M.P. It was stated that tho addition of that, day's draft brought the aggregate number of men contributed by Marlborough to the Expeditionary Forces up to 1448. In a,ccordanco with custom, each departing man was presented with a, book of tickets in the Marlborough Art Union.

Owing to pressure on their time by fcho requirements of the Territorial camp and other engagements, the members of the Tenth Mounted Regi»n).ental Band and Reserve Band did not parade. The singing of the National Anthem, was led by Bandmaster EL Rose with a cornet.
