CEMETERY BOARD.
A meeting of the Christchurch Public Cemetery Board was held at the Selwyn County Council Chambers on Friday last ; present — The Very Eev Father Ginaty, Eev F. E. Inwood, and Messrs W. Harris and C. Louisson. Mr Louisson was voted to. the chair. The Very Eev Father Ginaty proposed, Mr Harris seconded, and it was carried unanimously — "That this Board express its appreciation of the great loss .sustained by the death of Mr J. P. Jameson, and that a letter of condolence be jwritten to the family to that effect." . Mr Louisson was elected chairman till the end of the present year. A letter was read from the City Council, suggesting that the cemetery should be handed over to that body, and it was resolved that a -special mooting of the Board should be, called at a date to be arranged, for the purpose of considering the matter. The Eev F. E. Inwood reported that ,he had, in company with the late chairman, visited the cemetery, and they had decided to defer trimming the trees, &c, for the present. After a vote of thanks to the chairman the meeting terminated.
