Wellington, Oct. 27. The Premier expects to issue his manifesto at the end of the present or early next week. Hamilton, Ocr. 27. The following nominations were received for the western Maori district : — HoniTapu, 31 ; Kipa Te Whatenui, 3 ; Totaua Tewhataupoko, G ; Te Kahui Kararche, 2 ; Pepene Eketone and Eccleston Eairburn, 2. j Christcuurch, Oct. 27. I Mr Wm. Hoban declares himself a candidate for Kaiapoi in the Liberal interest. Auckland, Oct. 27. The nomination of members for the Northern Maori electoral district took place today. The following were proposed : — Sydney Taiwhauga, Timoti Puhipi, Wi Pere, Hana Whakaianpoura, and Wirema Katene. The poll takes place on November 27th. Napier, Oct. 27. The Eastern Maori district nominations are— Jas. Carroll, Sydney Taiwhanga, Wi Pere, R. Sturm (of Hawkes Bay), and T. W. Rimine, of VVhakatane. Dunedin, Oct. 27. A test case is to be brought to determine whether seamen who happen to be domiciled here at the time of ,the election can be put on the rolls. There are five candidates for the Southern Maori seat. They are Tamati Parata, the sitting member ; Hone Mark, of Rapaki, J. Ellison, of Kaikoura ; Taiaroa, jun. ; and J. Davies. It is said that Parata will be hard run by Mark, who represents the independent ticket.
