I very much regret that I shall not be able to visit every part of the electorate, but I trust that those I have beeu unable to address will be guided by my published views. Shortly, I am in favor of legislation for the promotion of temperance reform, a fair and speedy settlement of tha Native land question, abolition of the duties on the necessaries of life, the establishment of homes for the people, and for the encouragement of farmers, pastoralists, and those engaged in commercial pursuits. I stand as an Independent Oppositionist, and believe in a true progressive policy, combined with just and economical adminißtwtion.
