THE SUPERINTENDENCY.
OFFICIAL DECLARATION OF THE POLL.
The official declaration of the poll for the Superintendency of the Province was made at noon yesterday, by Mr John Gillie 3, returning officer, at the rear of the Court House. There were about 40 persons assembled. Mr Gillies said that the numbers polled were— Dick, 990; M'Glashan, 565. He therefore declared Thomas £>ick, Esq, to be duly elected Superintendent of the Province of Otago. — (Applause.) The details of the voting were — On the roll. Dick. M'G. _ , _ 0( .
