Correspondence.
To the Editor op the 'Nelson Examinee.'
Sir — At a meeting of the^ inhabitants of Wakefield, held at the School-room on Thursday, April 10th, it was resolved to request your publication of the following particulars, for the information of the public. The inhabitants of Wakefield having suffered considerable inconvenience and many delays in business, owing to the miscarriage of letters and the misdirection of parties coming to them, both arising from the general misapprehension of the public as regards the boundaries of Wakefield, think it expedient for the benefit of the public generally, as well as themselves, to publish the boundaries of the village as originally defined at the commencement of the settlement.
The village of Wakefield originally commenced at the Eighty-eight River, or King's cross-road, and extended up the Wai-iti River as far as Sections 154 and 155, on the road to Fox Hill.
You would greatly oblige the old settlers and inhabitants of Wakefield, by giving publicity to the foregoing. I am, &c, One of the old Settlers. April 17, 1856.
