Simpson, No less than five cases of diphtheria were reported to the Town Clerk by Dr Leggatt j yesterday, the localities in whioh the disease has shown itself being Trafalgar Square, Shelbourne street, Bridge street, and Halifax street. Donno j_lt, proprietor of Palace Skating Rinks in Australia, Tasmania, and New Zsaland intends opening a rink here, and has leased for a term the buildings in Bridge street, formerly known as the Nelson Auotion Booms. After several alterations have been effected to the building the rink will be started, particulars concerning which will be shortly notified.
