OBITUARY.

MR DAVID BUICK, M.P

Palmerston, November 19. Just before midnight last night, advice was received that Mr David Buick, M.P., had died in Wellington, 70 years of age. He was one of the early settlers, arriving in this district over 30 years ago and taking up land in Kairanga. He was.a breedr of stud sheep, and in his racing stable were many noted winners. Mr Buick had been Pajimerston's representative in Parliament for 10 years, and he was in Wellington attending the session when he contracted influenza and died from complications ensuing thereon. Mi' Buick leaves one son, Mr David Buick (Kairanga). and five daughters: Mrs Murray (Oliau), Mrs Tarrant (Sydney), Mrs Constable (Napier), Mrs E. West and Miss L. Buick (Palmerston).
