FURTHER FINAL FIGURES

j The oi'lieial count and flio allocation of absentee votes in the Hutt electorate, declared to-day, shows that the sit--1 ting Labour member, Mr. W. JN'ash, has increased his vote by 546, and Mr. J. Kcrr by 451. Mr. Nash's majority is thus increased by So, and ho has defeated his Coalition opponent by 2823 votes. Mr. Nash's total has been swelled to the exceptional figure of 9157, which is easily the largest vote polled by any candidato in the Dominion, Tho majority of Mr. 11. M'Keon in Wellington South has been reduced from 'J7SI to 'JGO9. The majority of Mr. E. Semple in Wellington East has been reduced from CSS on the preliminary count to 503. Mr. Chapman increased his lead over Mr. Troup in the Wellington North electorate to over 1000. The return of tho Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sir Charles Stathum, is ensured by tho final figures. Sir Charles's majority over his Labour opponent in Dunediu Central has been increased from 91 to 262. The statement that Chalmers is placed in the category of doubtful scats through a mistake iv the allocation of .100 voles is now reported by a special telegram from Dunedin to be incorrect.
