The Peoples Vice was a typewritten camp magazine published by the Headquarters (HQ) Divisional Engineers from Moindah Camp in New Caledonia, 1943, during World War II.
In jest the publication stated it was published every decade, however it was actually published almost weekly.
Offering ‘highlights from week to week’ (3 May 1943: 1), The Peoples Vice also contained poems, quizzes, sports and social news as well as regular columns ‘Aunt Dorothy’s Corner’ and ‘Questions of the Hour.’
While it is not clear when The Peoples Vice finished, the HQ Divisional Engineers left Necal in August 1943 for Guadalcanal to assist with the Solomon Islands campaign.
